Rebecca Hess

Rebecca Hess, PhD, PMA®-CPT, is a former certified personal trainer and professional dancer. Rebecca has extensive training and experience as a dance educator and researcher in human movement and postural control. Rebecca completed her Ph.D. in Developmental Movement Studies from the University of Pittsburgh and post-doctoral research in the Balance Lab at UPMC Eye and Ear Institute. She is currently a professor in the health and exercise sciences, and as a member of PSAHPERD, IADMS, and ISMETA, has published in JDMS and JSCR. Rebecca is currently serving on the Certification Commission and Research Committee for the PMA.
